Scholarship for Study at École Biblique

The Board of the Canadian Friends of the École Biblique (CFÉB) has established a scholarship to encourage Canadians to study and to do research at the École Biblique in Jerusalem.

Eligibility Guidelines:

Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant. If no qualified candidates from Canada are available, the monies in a given year may go to a candidate from a third world country who is recommended by the Academic Director of the École Biblique.

Applicants must apply independently to the École Biblique (see http://www.op.org/ebaf) and must have been accepted by the École Biblique into a program of study or to conduct research by the time that the award is granted.

Applicants must demonstrate financial need. It is intended that this scholarship will supplement other sources of income. A scholarship will normally be awarded in the range of $2,000 to $7,000, depending on need. It can be renewed.

Special consideration will be given to women and to individuals who would not have other sources of support available to them. Members of religious communities, diocesan clergy and lay students are eligible.

monies will be paid directly to the École Biblique for payment of fees, tuition and board and room. CFEB does not give money directly to applicants.
