BIBLICAL STUDIES ASSISTANT
PROFESSOR– St. John’s Seminary, Camarillo, CA,
a Roman Catholic institution with a rich multicultural student body, sponsored
by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles is seeking a qualified candidate for a
full-time position in the Biblical Studies
Dept. beginning August 2008. The position involves teaching Roman
Catholic seminarians on the M.Div. and M.A. levels, as well as a number of lay
students in master level programs. A doctorate, affiliation with the Roman
Catholic tradition, and the ability to engage with the seminary formation
program are expected. The candidate may specialize in Hebrew Scriptures or the
New Testament, but the ability to teach courses in both testaments is
preferred. Fluency to teach some courses in a second language: Spanish,
Vietnamese or Korean is desirable. Candidates with an ecclesiastical degree
(STL, STD) will receive primary consideration. Women and minorities are
