BIBLICAL STUDIES ASSISTANT PROFESSOR. St. John’s Seminary, Camarillo, CA, a Roman Catholic institution with a rich multicultural student body, sponsored by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time position in the Biblical Studies Department beginning August 2009. The position involves teaching Roman Catholic seminarians on the M.Div. and M.A. levels, as well as a number of lay students in master level programs. A doctorate, affiliation with the Roman Catholic tradition, and the ability to engage with the seminary formation program are expected. The candidate would preferably specialize in the Hebrew Scriptures, but the ability to teach courses in both testaments would be welcome. Candidates with an ecclesiastical degree (STL, STD) will receive primary consideration. Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
