University, Miami Gardens, FL, seeks energetic scholar-teacher for the Fall of 2011 in the area of biblical studies at the rank of
Assistant Professor. Successful candidate will teach undergraduate, master’s and doctoral level courses in programs focused on
practical theology, including a newly launched M.Div. program and will possess
an earned doctorate. St. Thomas
is a Hispanic-serving institution that also draws 20% of its students from
communities of African-descent and enjoys a rich ecumenical diversity.
The search committee especially welcomes applicants who demonstrate an
excellent foundation in historical-critical methodologies, as well as engaged
in forms of analysis that address race, gender, and social location. Familiarity with distance teaching and learning a plus.
